Viken Eliminates Back Pressure

Viken mufflers reduce back pressure while maintaining a deep sporty tone. The combination of stainless steel packing and dense acoustic material reduce annoying resonance and unwanted frequencies. A second problem associated with backpressure is heat build up. This occurs in OEM style chamber mufflers. The heat builds up in the muffler and then backs itself up through the entire exhaust system and through to the exhuast manifold and engine. This heat retention causes damage to the muffler, catalytic convertor, piping, manifold and gaskets, as well as restricting overall performance. Viken answers this with their own unique and patented design.

Turbulence is commonly associated with OEM and cheap aftermarket mufflers. The straight through Viken design allows exhaust gasses to pass through with no turbulence and no added backpressure. Viken’s perforated tubing design means absolutely no restrictions.
